The EMIM Young Investigator Award 2021 will be presented to an early stage researcher for her/his extraordinary, original, and innovative research presented within the scope of the EMIM 2021. Application for the YIA 2021 must be done during the first call for EMIM 2021 abstract submission (with deadline 4 May 2021). Special THANKS to Karl Storz for their kind support of the YIA!
In accordance with the review outcome the three best YIA applicants are asked to present their work during the final plenary session scheduled for 27 August 2021. The YIA Committee decides on-site on the winner.

The applicants abstract/research was evaluated by independent reviewers during a double blind reviewing process in regards t:
Originality of content
Original in terms of technique or application or both.
Soundness of conclusions
Do the results support the conclusion?
Importance
Significance of results, potential implication on other work
Quality
Quality of methodology and data, clarity of presentation
Registration Grants are preferably given to early stage researchers from developing countries and are presented in terms of one FREE REGISTRATION to the EMIM 2021. Special THANKS to SIEMENS Healthineers for their kind support of Grants!
Who shall apply? You are at an early stage of your research carreer and/or (preferably) from a developing country? You are eager to join the EMIM in order to learn and put your findings up for discussion but you have difficulties to cover your expenses as it is unlikely that your institute is supporting your participation? Be encouraged to apply!

Particular attention has been paid to the best possible way of the presentation of your posters:
In 2021 two poster sessions are scheduled - with no competitive session in parallel - in order to enhance knowledge exchange between senior and junior researchers, to provide YOU with the opportunity to put your work up for discussion, and the other attendees with the possibility to discuss your findings.
Guided thematic poster walks are scheduled. Each poster walk is chaired by two chairpersons and will result in one ESMI Poster Awards 2021.
The poster awards will be presented during the awarding and farewell session scheduled for Friday 27 August 2021.
