ESMI Award

The ESMI Award is given yearly to an excellent scientist for her/his outstanding contribution to the interdisciplinary research field of Imaging Science.

ESMI Award Winner 2021

The ESMI Award Committee announced the winner 2021: the society's award 2021 is presented to SILVIO AIME, Torino for his outstanding contribution to the development of new categories of contrast agents for molecular imaging applications.

ESMI Award Winner 2020

The ESMI Award 2020 was presented to SANJIV SAM GAMBHIR.

The Committee recognised Sam as one of the founding fathers of the field in which we all have the privilege to work in. He has been a pioneer and visionary, a mentor and inspiration for so many of us – thanks so much, Sam!

ESMI Award

The ESMI Award shall be given to an excellent scientist for her/his outstanding contribution to the interdisciplinary research in Imaging Science. The nominee must have contributed significantly to the knowledge in this field.

 

Markus Rudin - the ESMI Award winner 2019 gave an outstanding Plenary Lecture in the scope of the annual meeting EMIM 2019 in Glasgow. Recordings of Plenary Lectures are available via the members' portal.
